How to Draw Chase from PAW Patrol

Let’s keep drawing fun cartoon characters: in this step-by-step tutorial, you’ll learn how to draw Chase from PAW Patrol.
He is a brave puppy leader who is always the first to come to the rescue. Chase is a mischievous and playful pup, yet he takes every task very seriously.
The puppy is dressed in a police uniform. His backpack is equipped with a flashlight, a megaphone, a net, and a tennis ball launcher. Thanks to clear and easy-to-follow instructions, you can easily draw this popular character.
Step 1: Sketch Chase’s head and torso
Draw a large rounded shape for Chase’s head and a smaller tapered form for the torso. Add a smooth central line through the body to indicate the direction of the PAW Patrol puppy’s pose.

Step 2: Add the legs and tail guidelines
Use thin lines to mark the positions of Chase’s two front legs and bent hind legs. Extend another short curved guideline from the back of the torso to establish the tail.

Step 3: Draw Chase’s police cap
At the top of the puppy’s head, draw Chase’s police cap with a curved crown and projecting visor. Add the small shield-shaped emblem in the center.

Step 4: Outline the head and pointed ears
Refine the rounded outline of Chase’s head around the construction shape. Add two upright pointed ears at the sides and draw a smaller curved contour inside each ear.

Step 5: Draw Chase’s facial features
Mark the darker areas around the muzzle, then draw the large dog eyes. Add the eyebrows, broad nose, small smiling mouth, and lower jaw.

Step 6: Add the collar and police badge
Below Chase’s head, outline the wide collar with two curved lines. In the center, draw the hanging shield-shaped badge and place a small star inside the police emblem.

Step 7: Define Chase’s uniform and torso
Follow the construction shape to outline Chase’s chest, sides, and lower torso. Add the curved edges of the police uniform, its central seam, and the visible sleeve opening.

Step 8: Draw Chase’s rescue backpack
Behind Chase’s shoulders, outline the rescue backpack with rounded rectangular forms. Add the raised equipment sections and the small dividing lines visible along the pack.

Step 9: Outline Chase’s first front leg
Shape the first front leg around its guideline, making it wider near the shoulder and narrower toward the paw. Add a wavy fur marking and divide the rounded paw into toes.

Step 10: Draw Chase’s second front paw
Use the remaining guide to draw the second front leg in its raised position. Form the rounded paw at the end, separate the toes with short lines, and add the wavy color boundary.

Step 11: Complete the cartoon dog’s hind legs
Outline both bent hind legs around the lower guidelines. Add the rounded rear paws, mark the toes with short curved lines, and draw the wavy boundaries between the fur colors.

Step 12: Add Chase’s short puppy tail
At the back of the body, replace the tail guideline with a small rounded shape. Narrow the base where it joins the torso and curve the outer contour toward the soft tip.

Step 13: Refine the Chase line drawing
Remove the original head, torso, leg, and tail guidelines. Clean up the intersections around the uniform and equipment, then restore the final contours of Chase’s body and face.

Step 14: Add color Chase from PAW Patrol
Color Chase’s fur brown and tan, leaving the eyes and teeth white. Use blue and gray for the police uniform and equipment, then add yellow and orange details to the badges.
