How to Draw an Ant
In this guide, we will tell you how to draw an ant. We tried to make a simple lesson that will be available even to novice artists. At the same time, we tried to deviate a little from the cartoon style and create a more realistic drawing.
Step 1
As a rule, we start our animal drawing lessons with a few rounded shapes. As a rule, we start our animal drawing lessons with a few rounded shapes. In this step, we sketch out the first few shapes that form the head and the first part of the torso.
Step 2
Let’s continue from the previous step. With the help of two more rounded shapes, outline the contours of the second part of the body. The shapes in the center are roughly the same size. The back figure is the largest.
Step 3
Probably everyone knows what an ant’s face looks like. We cannot say how much the faces of different ants differ from each other, but we tried to depict the basic elements of the face.
Step 4
Ants are pretty fast guys. To move quickly, ants use mobile, flexible legs. So let’s draw the rounded proximal legs in this step.
Step 5
So we continue the guide on how to draw an ant. The proximal segments of our ant’s legs are directed upward. It looks like several sticks that taper smoothly.
Step 6
So in this step, we sketch out the distal parts of the ant’s paws. These are long, slender limbs that taper even more distally. The paws of the opposite side are visually smaller due to the peculiarities of the angle.
Step 7
There are many variations of colored appearances among ants. We decided to choose a basic version of the ant’s appearance. Here you can see several shades of brown and black in the eye. By the way, don’t forget about the white highlight inside the eye.
So we have completed this drawing guide. We hope you didn’t have any problems with our drawing and got an excellent result. Didn’t this happen? Be sure to write to us about it.
