How to Draw Luigi
In this guide, we will tell you how to draw Luigi. This is one of the most popular characters in the Mario universe. We hope you enjoy this tutorial.
Step 1
Firstly, we will draw the outlines of two rounded shapes that will correspond to the head and body of our character. As with many other examples of the cartoon style, the head is disproportionately large. The neck is missing.
Step 2
Now we can draw the basic features of the face – large, oval eyes and an even larger rounded nose. There is a very small distance between the eyes.
Step 3
Large, rounded mustaches are a trademark of the style of the male characters in the Mario universe. So let’s draw a mustache and a mouth that looks like a small dash.
Step 4
Luigi has quite cartoonish facial features. In this step, we will continue to draw this. So let’s draw large, protruding ears and a visor from the locksmith’s cap.
Step 5
So in the last step, we started drawing the cap. We will now complete this with a couple of rounded lines above the outline of our character’s head. Don’t forget about the prominent and bright logo on the cap.
Step 6
Add small details like sideburns, eyebrows and hair outlines on the bottom of the nape.
Step 7
In this step, add some small details to the clothes. These are the little jumpsuit fasteners that every locksmith needs. Don’t forget to draw small circles like in our sample.
Step 8
In this step we will draw the long, rounded sleeves of our character. Note the wide, rounded edges on the distal sleeves.
Step 9
Drawing fists is a pretty tricky thing. So check out our special tutorial on how to draw fists. Don’t forget to check the proportions of our tutorial – the fists should look larger than in the realistic style.
Step 10
So we continue with the guide on how to draw Luigi from Mario. In this step we add the outlines of the wide pants.
Step 11
Let’s draw rounded boots, which are a basic accessory for builders and locksmiths. Do not forget to draw a small border of the sole with protruding relief areas.
Step 12
We always leave a special step so that you can evaluate the whole sketch before working with paints. We have not broken this tradition in this lesson. Look at your drawing and see if all shapes and proportions are correct. Fix any inaccuracies with erasing.
Step 13
Luigi’s traditional colors are green and blue. So let’s use these colors to create a familiar look for this character. Darker shades of base colors will help you paint lighter shadows.
So this was a guide on how to draw Luigi. We hope this was helpful to you. In conclusion, do not forget to write to us about the problems you encountered while working with our tutorial.
