How to Draw a Rainbow
So we continue the series of guides for drawing simple things. Today we will try to make out a drawing guide on how to draw a rainbow.
Step 1
Firstly we draw two arcs that should be parallel. Place these arcs in the center of a piece of paper or in a place where you want to draw a rainbow if you are painting a whole landscape.
Step 2
Add two more arcs to our drawing. All lines should be strictly parallel as you can see in our sample. If you are not sure about your ability to work with baselines you should use very light strokes that can be erased.
Step 3
This drawing guide will be pretty monotonous, in fact. We hope that you can overcome boredom because in the end you will get an excellent result. Meanwhile, we draw two more parallel arcs.
Step 4
We repeat the same action for the last time. It was a good practice drawing smooth parallel lines, right? As a result, we should get eight stripes in the form of arcs. This is a good base to draw a rainbow.
Step 5
A large rainbow in the sky does not happen without rain. That is why in this step we will draw a couple of clouds that are located at the ends of our rainbow.
Step 6
We think that it is not necessary to remind in what colors the rainbow should be painted. There are many mnemonic memos for this. For example this is Roy G. Biv (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet)
If you like to paint more complex natural phenomena, you can try to draw a volcanic eruption. If you want to draw something simpler of the things that are related to nature, you can try to draw a stone.
