How to Draw a Chimpanzee
- Draw the basics.
With the help of several rounded shapes, depict the main parts of the body. Draw the head of the monkey first, then add the rest of the circles.
- Depict the limbs.
Use some straight, thin lines to define the position of the limbs. Draw the joints using small circles.
- Make markings on the head and draw the torso.
On the head, draw transverse lines that will help you correctly position the elements of the muzzle. Add connecting lines along the sides to depict the outline of the torso.
- Sketch out the outline of the muzzle and ears.
In the upper part of the muzzle, depict the convex parts and add an elongated lower part of the muzzle. Draw two ears that are oval.
- Add the elements of the muzzle.
Detail the muzzle by adding eyes, nose, and mouth. When drawing these elements, be careful and observe all proportions. Then draw small folds with thin lines.
- Draw the scruff, neck, and chest.
