How to Draw a Velociraptor

How to Draw a Velociraptor
- Prepare the base.
Draw the head, thoracic region and pelvis in the form of rounded figures of different sizes. Draw connecting lines between these shapes and mark the position of the tail.
- Sketch out the limbs.
Using thin lines, mark the position of the front and hind limbs. Draw the places of the folds in the form of large dots and draw the thumbs.
- Detail the head.
Draw the top outline of the head and add the massive jaw at the bottom. Draw the top and bottom row of teeth and add the pointed tongue.
- Draw the eye and neck.
Depict the eye and add the creases on the upper and lower eyelids. Draw connecting lines from the head to the chest to represent the neck. Add the folds on the head.
- Add the outline of the back and belly.
Draw smooth connecting lines between the thoracic region and the pelvis to depict the back and belly.
- Depict the forelimbs.
Focus on the auxiliary lines and give the forelimbs the desired shape and thickness. Draw the long fingers and add the pointed claws at the ends.
- Sketch out the hind limbs.
Focus on the guidelines and give the hind limbs the desired shape and thickness, just as you did in the previous step. Draw the fingers and claws.
- Add the tail.
Sketch out the long tail with smooth lines, which has a wide base and tapers towards the end.
- Correct inaccuracies.
Take a close look at your drawing and if you notice any mistakes, correct them at this stage. Carefully remove extra lines.
- Color the drawing.
You will need different shades of brown. Paint the main part of the body with a lighter shade and add the dark spots.
