How to Draw a Chihuahua
- Prepare baselines.
Draw the main parts of the dog’s body as circles. Depict the position of the back and tail. Do not forget that at the initial stage all lines should be thin.
- Add the limbs.
Use straight lines to mark the position of the front and hind limbs. Draw the folds as large dots.
- Detail the head.
Use the guidelines as a guide and carefully outline the head along the contour, giving it the desired shape. Draw the large ears, add the eyes, nose, and mouth.
- Draw the outline of the body.
Depict the neck, back and lower body. With the help of smooth lines, give the tail the necessary size and thickness.
- Sketch out the front paws.
In this step, give the front legs the desired shape and thickness. At the bottom draw the fingers and small sharp claws.
- Draw the hind legs.
Add the paws with smooth lines, while taking into account all the anatomical features of their structure. At the bottom draw the fingers and claws.
- Depict the fur.
Sketch out the hair on the head, in the belly, on the paws and on the tail. To do this, use small zigzag lines.
- Correct inaccuracies.
Now the main contours are ready and you can carefully remove the auxiliary lines. Correct errors if necessary.
- Color the drawing.
For coloring, you will need different shades of brown and black. Highlight the dark areas to make your drawing look more realistic.
