How to Draw Doctor Strange

Thanks to our clear and accessible instructions, you will learn how to draw Doctor Strange. This is a comic book superhero published by Marvel Comics.
Stephen Strange received his M.D. and became a famous neurosurgeon. Once, Dr. Strange had an accident and injured his hands, after which he had to end his career as a surgeon.
Subsequently, the doctor began to study magic and began to successfully use his innate magical abilities. Doctor Strange has an arrogant, slightly rude personality, but he effectively defends the earth from magical threats.
In the picture, Doctor Strange is dressed in an elongated suit and a wide cloak with a high collar. During the tutorial, try to observe all proportions and correctly depict facial features so that the character is easily recognizable.
Step 1: Set up Doctor Strange’s figure
Start with the upper part and draw the head, chest, and pelvis. Indicate the arms and legs with thin lines, then mark the shoulders, elbows, hips, and knees with rounded joint shapes.

Step 2: Form the Sorcerer Supreme’s torso
Connect the chest and pelvis to draw the torso of dr. Strange. Add the shoulders and neck, then place one vertical and two horizontal guidelines across the head.

Step 3: Give the Marvel hero’s limbs volume
Now, draw the arms of Dr. Strange around the initial lines with cylindrical forms. Shape the thighs and lower legs in the same way, leaving the rounded joints visible.

Step 4: Place Doctor Strange’s facial features
Use the head markings to draw the eyes and eyebrows of Doctor Strange. Add the nose and mouth below them, then place an ear on each side of the head at approximately eye level.

Step 5: Add the mystic hero’s hair and beard
Outline the short hairstyle with pointed locks above the forehead and along the sides of the head. Complete the face by drawing the beard and mustache.

Step 6: Outline the Cloak of Levitation
Draw the high collar of Doctor Strange as two tall pointed sections beside the neck. Draw the cape across the shoulders, then use broad curved lines to shape its lower edge behind the body.

Step 7: Refine Doctor Strange’s arms and fists
Replace the cylindrical forms with defined arm contours and shape the bends at the elbows. Finish by drawing both clenched fists and adding horizontal wrist bands.

Step 8: Construct the sorcerer’s tunic and belt
Use straight and slightly angled lines to form the upper part of the tunic. Across the waist, draw several horizontal sections to draw Doctor Strange’s wide layered belt.

Step 9: Add the remaining costume details
Fill the upper tunic with evenly spaced parallel lines. Add the two lower fabric panels beneath the belt, then draw horizontal costume bands across the legs.

Step 10: Draw the Eye of Agamotto and boots
Add the Eye of Agamotto at the center of the chest with a small eye-shaped form and surrounding frame. Complete the lower figure by outlining the boots around both feet.

Step 11: Clean up the Doctor Strange line art
Erase the remaining construction marks from the head, torso, arms, and legs. Adjust uneven contours and darken the final lines of the costume, cape, hands, and face.

Step 12: Color the Master of the Mystic Arts
Apply beige to the skin and dark gray to the hair. Use several blue tones for the tunic, bright red for the cloak, brown for the belt, and gold for the amulet.

Continue with another Marvel character by drawing Green Lantern in his superhero suit, or practice a more detailed costume by sketching Hawkeye with his bow and quiver.
