How to Draw an Elephant

We come back to one of your favorite topics. Yes, we know that you really like to draw animals. That is why we created a guide on how to draw an elephant.

 

Step 1

First, we will draw three circular shapes. It looks like an inverted snowman. Although the bottom figure is not the largest as a typical snowman.

Step 2

Nevertheless, we work with the elephant. Therefore, we outline a trunk that looks like a smooth curved line. We also connect the three round phirugs with short straight lines at the top.

 

Step 3

Now we can work with the facial features of our cute animal. Draw a small eye that looks like an inverted triangle. Add the contours of the tusks and trunk.

Step 4

We have an almost complete silhouette of an elephant’s head. Now we add the outline of the large triangular ear. The ear should be slightly smaller than the first rounded torso.

Step 5

You could hear the phrase “elephant legs” as an idiom. In fact, the elephant has huge and powerful legs. In this step, we draw a pair of powerful legs that have a very slight narrowing down.

Step 6

In this step we add literally two lines. In this step we add literally two lines. The upper line starts from the back of the neck and ends at the contours of the tail. The bottom line is shorter. The bottom line connects the front and back legs of our elephant.

 

Step 7

Now we repeat the steps from the fifth stage. Now we are working with the hind legs of an elephant. Do not forget about the small tail with a brush on the end.
