How to Draw a Deer Head

In this super easy installation, the team of Easydrawingart.com will show you how to draw a deer head easy and quick in twelve stages. We made all the new lines of each stage red and came up with simple descriptions so that even the most inexperienced artist could learn how to draw a deer head.

 

Step 1

Let’s start with a simple circle, like all our other articles about animal heads (for example, the head of a cat). Use a curved line to portray the neck.

Step 2

Using two almond-shaped geometric figures, depict the eyes of the deer. Please note that they are very far apart.

Step 3

Now let’s move on to the face and portray the nose and mouth. Try to repeat everything as in the example from the artists of Easydrawingart.com.

Step 4

Using a pair of loose lines, depict the deer’s jaw. Next, depict the lateral surface of the face with the help of a curved line.

Step 5

Now go to the top of the head and depict the ears of a deer. They should be large enough and diverge to the sides.

Step 6

After that portray the lines inside the ears and correct the upper surface of the head. Then correct the neck as in the example from the artists of Easydrawingart.com.

Step 7

Now let’s draw the antlers of the deer. This is quite complicated, and therefore we will do it gradually. Firstly, portray the outer edges of the antlers with two simple lines.

Step 8

Continue to draw deer antlers. Now, using a couple of simple lines, depict the lower branches of the antlers as in the example from the artists of Easydrawingart.com.

Step 9

Now move a little higher and portray two more branches. You can repeat the shape of the antlers in our image, as well as come up with your own shape.

Step 10

In the tenth stage of the instruction on how to draw a deer head, we finish depicting its antlers. At the very top, depict the last branches following the example of the branches shown above.

Step 11

Now let’s put the pencil aside and pick up an eraser, with which we get rid of all the excess guidelines from the deer head drawing. Darken the artwork with dark pencil or ink.

Step 12

Now let’s paint the deer head. Paint it light brown, the nose black, the inner surface of the ears gray and the horns ivory.
