How to Draw Eyelashes
This tutorial will be simple and useful because you will learn how to draw eyelashes step by step. The skills you gain will be helpful when you want to draw a portrait of a person.

How to Draw Eyelashes
- Prepare the base.
At the beginning of drawing, draw an auxiliary line, with which you can evenly arrange the elements of the picture.
- Mark the location of the eyes.
With the help of smooth curved lines depict the upper and lower outline of the eyes, as shown in our example.
- Add the makeup.
With smooth lines draw the contour of the eyeliner on the upper and lower eyelids. Depict the neat pointed arrows on the sides.
- Determine the position of the eyelashes.
On the upper and lower eyelids, consistently draw short curved lines, while taking into account the direction of growth of the eyelashes.
- Make the contour of the lower eyelid clearer.
This step is similar to the previous one and you can easily follow it. Here you have to carefully outline the lower eyelid along the contour.
- Sketch out the eyelashes on the upper eyelid.
Use short, curved lines to thicken the lashes on the upper eyelid. Pay attention to the direction of the eyelash growth.
- Add the eyelashes on the lower eyelid.
Repeat the previous step and thicken the lashes on the lower eyelid using short strokes.
- Correct inaccuracies.
Compare the drawing with our example and if you notice inaccuracies, then correct them at this stage. Prepare the drawing for coloring.
- Color the eyelashes.
For coloring the eyelashes, you only need black. Color very carefully, try to highlight individual pointed eyelashes.
