How to Draw Drift

In this guide, we will tell you how to draw Drift. The battle royale genre has gained popularity in the game industry thanks to Fortnight. Drift is a multi-style outfit that allows players to dress their characters in costumes, as well as give them a special appearance. So let’s get this started!

 

How to Draw Drift

Step 1 – Sketch the Head, Ribcage, and Pelvis

Firstly, draw the outlines of the head, chest, and pelvis using rounded shapes. A combination of a wide chest and a narrow pelvis is typical for a male figure. The vertical line indicates the contours of the spine.

Step 2 – Sketch the Limbs of the Drift

Secondly, draw the limbs of our character using long sticks. The joints look like dots. Pay attention – now we are drawing the outlines of the limbs without sketches of feet and hands.

Step 3 – Sketch the Torso and Facial Guidelines

So mark out the face using two crisscrossing lines. And connect the head to the chest with the neck and the chest to the pelvis with the abdomen.

Step 4 – Add Volume to the Arms

Draw the large, massive outlines of the upper limbs. Divide the arm into four parts, copy all the bends and extensions of each part as in our sample:

Step 5 – Add Volume to the Legs

Draw powerful lower limbs. Mark off any necessary contractions and extensions. So, depict the large joints and outlines of the shoes.

Step 6 – Detail the Face of the Drift

Draw a distinctive outline of the hairstyle. This is similar to the outline of a candle flame. Also in this step sketch out the outlines of the eyes and the top of the head.

Step 7 – Draw the Outlines of the Mask

Draw the outlines of the mask. It looks like a smooth, raised line in the center that delimits the lower part of the face. So draw the rounded outlines of the ears.

Step 8 – Draw the Jacket of Drift

Draw the outlines of the body of our character. Add a round neckline to the sleeve. So don’t forget to taper to the waist. After that, draw the rounded outlines of the ears.

Step 9 – Draw the Jacket and the Mask

Detail your character’s outfit. Draw vertical stripes around the collar. So add a few more folds of fabric in the form of oblique stripes on the torso.

Step 10 – Draw the Hands of the Draft

Draw the final outlines of the hands. Use rounded lines to create graceful and flowing outlines of the hands. In addition, draw the tops of the gloves as smooth cross lines.

Step 11 – Draw the Hands of the Draft

Step 12 – Detail the Legs of the Drift

Draw the final outlines of our character’s legs. Depict the outlines of the large square pockets in the waist area. Also don’t forget to draw some folds of fabric in the groin area.

Step 13 – Draw the Shoes of the Drift

Draw the outlines of the shoes. Define the edges of the soles, draw stripes on the front of each shoe. Note the large, protruding tops.

Step 14 – Erase the Guidelines

So it’s time to give our hero a complete and clean look. To do this, take an eraser and delete the entire unnecessary auxiliary lines. Next, take a darker pencil or marker and carefully trace the sketch, making the lines darker and sharper.

Step 15 – Color Drift

Color our character. Use traditional colors to create a recognizable look. Similarity, prepare darker shades of base colors to create small areas of shadow.
