How to Draw a Pirate

Prepare the base.
Depict the main parts of the body using rounded shapes. Make markings on the face and mark the central axis of the torso.
Determine the position of the limbs.
Using straight lines of different lengths, determine the position of the arms and legs. Draw the joints as large dots.
Define the contours of the upper body.
Draw connecting lines between the head and chest to represent the neck. Then add the shoulders and draw the sides of the torso.
Add the thickness of the arms.
Focus on the auxiliary lines and give the arms the necessary thickness. Designate the places of the folds in the form of circles, add the hands below.
Sketch out the thickness of the legs.
This step is similar to the previous one, and now you have to draw individual parts of the legs, focusing on the auxiliary lines. Draw the knee joints and feet.
Detail the face.
Using a smooth line, carefully outline the lower contour of the face. Then draw the eyes, eyebrows, nose, and mouth.
Draw the headdress.
With smooth lines, depict the high headdress that pirates usually wear. Add the strands of the hair on the sides.
Add the rest of the hair and vest.
Continue the lines and depict the long hair, add the spiky strands at the bottom. Draw the outline of the vest.
Depict the sleeves.
The pirate has the wide sleeves, in which the lower edge is uneven. With smooth lines draw the outline of the sleeves and add the small folds.
Draw the lower parts of the arms and the saber.
Depict the visible parts of the arms and in one hand add the long pointed saber of the same shape as in the example.
Add the rest of the clothes.
Continue drawing the clothes and in this step draw short pants, the wide belt with the buckle and the small bandage at the waist.
Sketch out the lower parts of the legs.
Depict the upper parts of the boots and make clear the lower parts of the legs, while focusing on the lines that you drew in the previous steps.
Add details.
With the help of thin smooth lines, depict the folds on the clothes and on the headdress. Draw the hair and the small beard.
Correct inaccuracies.
Take the eraser and carefully remove any extra lines on the drawing to prepare it for coloring.
Color the drawing.
Use any natural shades for coloring the skin and hair. For coloring the clothes, use gray and brown shades.
