How to Draw a Small Dog
- Mark out.
Draw two oval-shaped lines, as well as one incomplete oval, to indicate the location of the head, chest, and back of the torso.
- Mark the location of the limbs and the outline of the back.
Using one line, connect the outlines of the head and torso, outline the limbs using small circles and curved lines of different lengths.
- Start drawing the front of the dog’s head.
Depict the eyes, nose, and outline of the front of the head using an oval and curved lines as shown.
- Draw the ears and finish drawing the outline of the muzzle.
Define the chin with an arc, add the ears using curved lines of different lengths as shown in the picture.
- Depict the facial features of a small dog.
Draw the eyes, nose, and eyebrows inside the previously drawn outline of the head using ovals, arcs, and curved lines of varying lengths.
- Sketch out the neck of the small dog.
Below the previously drawn head, draw two curved lines of different lengths on the right and left sides.
- Draw the outlines of the torso.
Use curved lines of varying lengths to outline the back, chest, belly, and outlines of the small dog’s upper front legs.
- Finish drawing the front paws.
To complete the drawing of the front paws, draw the toes using curved lines of various lengths.
- Depict the hind limbs.
At the back of the dog’s torso, draw curved lines of varying length along the sides of the previously drawn markings indicating the location of the hind legs.
- Draw the tail.
On the right side of one of the previously drawn hind legs, draw the tail using arcs of different lengths, as shown in the figure.
- Correct inaccuracies.
Use the eraser to remove unwanted guidelines from the drawing and prepare it for coloring.
- Color the drawing.
To color the small dog, you should use different shades of brown, beige, and pink.
