How to Draw a Skunk
This tutorial is about drawing wild animals, and now you will learn how to draw a skunk.
A skunk is best known for its ability to spray a strong-smelling liquid when threatened, and even formidable predators usually avoid it.
These animals thick fur and a long, bushy tail. Their fur is typically black with a white stripe that begins on the top of the head, splits into two stripes across the shoulders, and extends along the back to the tail.

How to Draw a Skunk
- Prepare baselines.
Draw the main parts of the skunk’s body in the form of rounded shapes. Draw a smooth connecting line at the top.
- Add the limbs and tail.
With the help of several curved lines, depict the front and hind limbs, the outline of the back, and indicate the location of the tail.
- Depict the head.
Carefully trace the head along the contour, giving it the correct pointed shape. Draw the ear, eyes, and nose.
- Draw the outline of the torso.
Using jagged zigzag lines, add the fur, thereby depicting the outline of the back, chest, and belly.
- Sketch out the front paws.
Draw the short front paws, add the fingers and sharp claws. Draw the thick hair on the back of the paw.
- Draw the hind legs.
Using uneven zigzag lines, draw the outline of the hind leg and the back of the body. Draw the feet, and add the fingers and claws.
- Depict the tail.
Now you have to draw the big fluffy tail that is raised up. Select the individual spiky strands of the fur.
- Detail the color.
Using jagged lines, outline the white stripes on the skunk’s body. Draw the spots on the head and on the tail.
- Correct inaccuracies.
Carefully remove any extra lines from the drawing and correct any mistakes as needed to prepare your drawing for coloring.
- Color the drawing.
For coloring the fur, you will need different shades of gray. Color the nose pink.
