How to Draw a Griffin

How to Draw a Griffin
- Sketch auxiliary lines for your drawing.
Firstly, draw three different circles to help you mark the position of the head and torso.
- Draw the outline of the torso.
Secondly, connect the circles using curved lines. Use short strokes while drawing the neck.
- Add details to the top of the head.
Thirdly, draw the protrusion with a curved line and add a few short strokes on the back of the head. Also, add a small eye.
- Draw the griffin’s beak.
The upper part of the beak is large and has a pointed end, and the lower part is small.
- Outline the front paws.
In the middle of the body, draw the base of the front paws, using short strokes to depict the plumage.
- Draw the bottom of the front paws.
Paint a thin base and long fingers, and add sharp claws on the ends of the fingers.
- Sketch the hind paws.
Note that the right paw is set back, and the other paw is closer to the torso.
- Draw the feet of the hind paws.
On each hind paw, draw short toes and add small sharp claws.
- Add the wings.
Keep all proportions to correctly portray the shape of the wings.
- Detailed the wings.
On the surface of the wings, spend short, thin strokes to portray plumage.
- Draw the tail.
The griffin has a long, thin tail with a tassel on the end. Its tail looks like the tail of a lion.
- Correct the inaccuracies.
Use the eraser to carefully remove all the auxiliary lines in your drawing.
- Color the griffin.
Color the torso with brown. Use yellow to color the front paws and beak.
