In this tutorial, you will learn how to draw a brain in just a few easy steps with useful tips that will help you a lot.
In this tutorial, you will learn how to draw a brain. The step-by-step guide will be simple, at the same time very interesting. Probably, you have not had to draw this organ before, and you will fulfill this creative task with interest.
The brain is the central part of the nervous system of humans and animals. It is the most complex organ and contains billions of nerve cells. Surely you have seen more than once what the brain looks like in pictures in tutorials.
The brain consists of two rounded hemispheres and contains many convolutions. Each part of the brain is responsible for certain processes throughout the body. In the lower part of the brain, you see a section that smoothly passes into the spinal cord.
Many important discoveries have been made about the functioning of the brain, but even at present, all the possibilities of the brain are not fully understood, and many mysteries remain related to the work of the brain.
Time needed: 1 hour.
How to Draw a Brain
- Draw the outer outline of the brain.
Decide what size your drawing will be and use smooth lines to draw a rounded figure. This figure should have a convex top and a flatter bottom.
- Add the lower section of the brain and divide the brain into two hemispheres.
At the bottom of the brain, draw a thin channel that goes into the spinal cord. On the left side, draw a thin line to divide the brain into two hemispheres.
- Sketch out the convolutions on one side of the brain.
On the left side, start drawing the convolutions, for this use thin curved lines. The shape and size of the convolutions may differ from the example.
- Depict the convolutions on the other side of the brain.
Repeat the previous step and draw the same convolutions of different shapes on the right side. Also detail the outer contour of the brain and add some convolutions along the right edge.
- Check your drawing.
At this point, compare your drawing with the example and make corrections as needed. Finally, make the outer contour clearer.
- Color the brain.
Use light gray or light lilac. If you wish, you can depict the relief, for this you need to darken some areas of the convolutions where you want to show deep folds.
The lesson is over, and now you have learned how to draw an important organ that regulates the work of all other organs. If this lesson was useful for you, then you can leave a small comment.
