How to Draw a Boy’s Face

How to Draw a Boy Face
- Prepare the base.
Draw the outer contour of the head, which has the shape of an oval. At the same time, the lower part of the oval is narrower and pointed.
- Add the markup.
Depict two horizontal lines to indicate the position of the eyes and nose. The lines should be thin so that you can easily remove them later.
- Depict the ears and nose.
Using guidelines draw two ears on the sides of the head. Draw the tip of the nose, wings of the nose and nasal openings in the center.
- Determine the position of the eyes and eyebrows.
Use the guideline as a guide and draw the eyebrows in the same shape as in the example. Outline the eyes in the form of ovals.
- Sketch out the mouth.
At the bottom of the head, depict the upper and lower lip using a few smooth curved lines.
- Draw the neck.
Sketch out lines below the head to indicate the neck. Also draw small lines on the sides to depict the upper visible part of the clothing.
- Depict the hair.
On the top of the head, draw individual strands of hair using curved lines. Make the outline of the ears and neck clearer.
- Detail the eyes.
Draw the upper and lower outline of the eyes, add the corners of the eyes, irises, and pupils. With the help of thin lines depict the upper and lower eyelids.
- Detail the brows.
Make the outline of the eyebrows clearer and draw individual spiky strands along the top edge. Thus, the eyebrows will look more realistic.
- Depict the nose.
Use the lines you drew earlier and make the outline of the nose more defined. Draw two vertical lines to indicate the top of the nose.
- Give the lips the desired shape.
Use guidelines to define the lip contour while giving it the desired shape.
- Detail the hair and eyes.
Using short, thin strokes, depict the individual hairs. On the upper and lower eyelids, add the short eyelashes.
- Correct inaccuracies.
Take an eraser and carefully remove all the extra lines in your drawing. If you notice mistakes, you can correct them now to fully prepare the drawing for coloring.
- Color the drawing.
For coloring skin and hair, choose any natural shades. Color the iris blue and the pupil black. Add the shadows and highlights.
