This lesson is about drawing a popular cartoon character and with the help of a simple instruction you will learn how to draw Lisa Simpson. This is an eight-year-old girl, the middle child in the family. Lisa differs from the rest of the family in intelligence and prudence.
Lisa has yellow skin and blond hair in the shape of a starfish. Lisa always wears a white pearl necklace. Lisa is wearing a red sleeveless dress with a scalloped hem and red shoes on her feet.

How to Draw Lisa Simpson
- Prepare the base.
Draw the head, thoracic and pelvic region in the form of figures of different shapes. Using a smooth curved line, depict the central axis of the body.
- Add the limbs.
Use thin, flowing lines to indicate the position of the arms and legs.
- Start detailing the head.
Use the guidelines as a guide and draw the outer contour of the head in the form of the wide teeth.
- Depict facial features.
In the middle of the head draw two large round eyes. Add the pupils and short eyelashes. Using a curved line draw the nose.
- Add the rest of the elements of the head.
With smooth lines, depict the lower part of the face, in which the upper jaw protrudes forward. Draw the short neck and the small round ear.
- Sketch out the necklace and arm.
Sequentially draw several circles to represent the necklace. Give the arm the desired shape and thickness. Draw the hand with the palm facing up.
- Draw the second arm.
Now draw the second arm in the same way as you did in the previous step. In this case, the palm and fingers are pointing down.
- Depict the dress.
Sketch out the dress that has the shape of a trapezoid. Draw the bottom edge of the dress in the form of the small teeth.
- Sketch out one leg.
Focus on the lines that you drew earlier and give the leg thickness. At the bottom, draw the shoe of the same shape as in our example.
- Draw the second leg.
We hope that you can easily follow this step, because it is very similar to the previous one. Here you also have to give the leg the desired thickness and add the shoe at the bottom.
- Correct inaccuracies.
Carefully remove all extra lines in your drawing. If you notice errors, correct them at this stage.
- Color the drawing.
Color the skin bright yellow. For coloring clothes and shoes, you will need orange.
